The prime minister of Senegal, Mahammad Boun Abdallah has resigned alongside his entire cabinet shortly after the legislative elections in conformity with the country’s traditions.
Senegal’s ruling party emerged victorious during the election and president Macky Sall is expected to proceed with his third cabinet reshuffle.
Mahammad Boun a former adviser to president Macky Sall, became Senegal’s prime minister on July 6, 2014.
His resignation has been accepted by the presidency and the the Secretary General of the government has announced the formation of a new government in the coming days
The 54 year old is the third prime minister to have served under Macky Sall after Aminata Toure and former banker Abdoul Mbaye.
